Hi Paul,

You're welcome.

I just saw a face in the mirror. Is that you?

Hi Paul,

I hope that our other members see this. I'm going to look around and see if there's a place to post an issue/information where more people will see it.

Hi Paul,

Just don't take my work on it check this out

Try this too

You can tell if handles are celluloid by rubbing them briskly with a cloth, and smelling them. If you smell camphor-it's celluloid.

Hello John
I will remove the celluloid knives from my display cabinet. I do want to thank you for the great heads up. Your story make absolute sense.
Thanks

Don't put any celluloid knives or anything made of celluloid in your display case. Keep all of your celluloid knives away from all of your other knives. Over time celluloid will destroy your collection. It produces a gas which speeds up oxidation. Metal will rust faster, other plastic will rot away. It's a killer in disguise. I suggest keeping celluloid in a place where the gas can escape and cause no damage to other knives and if the gas can escape freely the knife scaled with it will last much longer.
