Thanks all,

Steve it's kind of a long story if you don't want to bear with it I'll understand :) but here we go;

the Rover is form JK Knives, a while ago I designed 4 "pcoket knives", small fixed blades 4" or under, to try and get some inexpensive yet handle knives to try and get people to give JK 01 steel a try, I'm a fan and have become a friend through his website and forum, I enjoy that he lets you basically design your own knife like this. plus as a not so rich guy myself I know the cost of custom knives can be a put off. Anyway, John made the blanks at a killer price for me and I put handles on them and made sheaths at cost of materials so people could try them out, it was a fun experiment.

I still do it (have one to do at the end of this month actually, another rover) but I'm not a professional and keeping up with the orders between work/family/fun was tough, fun to though! But I let it cool down after the first 20 or so. Hopefully some people enjoyed the chance to try the Jk knives, other already hooked fans still post them here and there to and that feels good :)

The Rover was, and I was surprised, my favorite of the 4 when they came out, it kind locks in the hand and the wharncliff is a very functional blade shape especially in this size, so i made one for myself. It's 3/32 (some are 1/8" but I like the slimer profile for the size, 01 steel, with an oak bolster and zircote scale and brass hardware.

The sheath is something i came up with after making about 12 regular pocket sheaths or belt sheaths, I thought as pocket knives they should actually fit in the pocket and give you room for your hand! But leather work is probably my weakest suit, they work, don't look so bad I think, anwyay, I managed to come out with a pattern that works pretty well in 6-7oz leather, find a way to attach a pocket clip without too much fuss, and the rest, as they say, is history :)

I've posted some more pictures of it around here I believe. but I have a blog I use to keep track of things for myself if you don't mind a poking around ti you can see lots of them things, like here.

Thanks for asking, sorry it's such a long ramble to answer it :)
