Thanks, Billy!

Since the Camillus Safari Series seemed to stir some interest I just posted some additional pics of those 2 knives with an emphasis on the wood and the cartridge head shields. I really appreciate the generous comments and interest from all of you guys -- Thanks!

They are great and in such fine shape. I wish my camera took pictures that well.

I also forgot to mention that there is a difference in the wood on these two knives. The CSS-1 like the Remingtons has the Cocobolo scales, while the CSS-2 with the Leopard uses a beautiful Bubinga wood for its handles.

My pleasure, Steve! If you notice the tang stamps on the two Camillus knives you will see they're marked, CSS-1 & CSS-2 denoting that they are either Camillus Safari Series 1 or 2. They are the exact same pattern as the Remingtons. The CSS-1 has an etch of the Water Buffalo on its skinner blade and an actual inert 375 H&H mag cartridge as the head shield. The CSS-2 has the Leopard etch and a 300 Winchester mag cartridge. These two knives comprise the Safari Series. All 4 of these knives are new and never used, and they all came super sharp with the factory edge! Thanks again for expressing an interest.

The front two are Remington 1989 Bullet Trappers showing the two different pin alignments -- straight and offset. The back two are the Camillus Safari Series. One with the Leopard and one with the Water Buffalo...

Thanks for the comments, guys!

Ron, they look great are they Remingtons?

Comment by Ron Cooper on March 13, 2012 at 14:42

Truth be told, Steve, I just had them out for a cleaning and ended up posing them for some artsy pictures. I borrowed the description caption I wrote from the old Mad magazine and Alfred E. Neumann, "What, me worry?," quote. *What, me bored?*

And you're right! Those are some really big boys. They're are a handful. The wood IS beautiful!
