I removed material from the bolster opposite the lever side. It was originally above the stag .. by enough to effect comfort during holding & to catch on the pocket on insertion & drag upon removal. I reduced the height & radiused all the edges.

On the lever side .. the upright portion of the bolster is the fulcrum for the lever ... lock mechanism. Therefore, I left the height ..but.. radiused the other surfaces.
I used a 1' belt sander & a 4" belt sander.
