A real classic Bowie, Hylton. We're very proud of Jim Bowie here in Texas, where he made his last stand at the Alamo mission in San Antonio in the 1836 fight for independence. Texas is the only State of the 50 United States of America that was an independent sovereign nation. We still have the option to revert, but of course we love being in the United States too much to consider that seriously.

Thanks Chris - appreciate the comments. This wood was a pice of 300 year old stcky pine, and I tried to construct the knife to go with the wood, so I'm glad it worked. Have a good one!

Now that is one beautiful knife. The natural grain of the pine really compliments the blade and vice versa. Each piece of wood has a character of it's own . And when placing it on a hand made blade this beautiful , it comes together as a piece of art/ Well done brother.
