Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I find it rather strange that of SOG's lineup, really...only the Trident, Flash and Aegis get much press time. Don't get me wrong; I have those knives and really dig 'em! However, SOG offers so much more...and the Vulcan design should be getting some big time spotlights put on it. This picture shows one of the more recent additions to my family; the Vulcan VL04. The Vulcan design offers so many positive features. This particular version features a Tanto blade design in VG10 San Mai steel. Personally, I've had tremendously positive experiences with VG10 and it is, easily, one of my favorite materials. The handle is a highly-textured zytel with steel liners. This knife features SOG's Arc-Lock system...which is very similar to Benchmade's Axis Lock. The deployment action on the Arc-Lock is pretty much as SLICK as that of the Benchmade Axis Lock. Speaking (or writing) of deployment, the Vulcan design gives you both a thumb-stud option, as well as a flipper system...and both work equally well. The spine of the blade has some of the best jimping that I've ever encountered. This design is great for EDC as it is relatively compact. Last, but not least, is SOG's famous bayonet pocket clip design...this is the ultimately low-riding knife! All this...for $80. Now that, friends, Romans, and countrymen, is what I call "high value"!
