Benchmade bought lone wolf and the rights to use their designs. They only made the paul knives for a year before they decided they were to difficult to work on. Now benchmade has ruined the lone wolf name and discontinued all the designs...

I have played with a couple of the Benchmade Paul knives and can attest to their subpar contstruction. Maybe I am jaded as I own 10 Lone Wolf Paul knives from before the Benchmade buyout.
The only issue with the Axial mechanism is the tension nut, it often will rotate when opening and closing the knife. Using a micro drop of Blue Locktite as you adjust it to your preferred tension and then let it sit overnight and the the problem is solved.
Thanks for the explanation, Adam! I knew it was something like that.
Ron, the problem with the paul knives is that they develop alot of blade play and are almost impossible to adjust. I own 4 or 5 lone wolf knives and most of them have atleast alittle blade play and a couple have really bad both up/down and left/right.
I never owned one. But I played with a few of my friend's Paul designed knives. They are a lot of fun!
I've heard your sentiments about Benchmade echoed by others in the past. That's a real shame, too.
Have you experienced any problems with your knife? I seem to recall some issues that arose with these knives internal mechanisms. I can't remember exactly what it was, though? *scratches head*
always loved the Paul knives,
