Gave this wharncliffe blade a nice little hand sanding today. It's not quite a mirror finish but it's close.

Thanks all for the positive comments. Once it's been to heat treat and back I'll get to finishing it and I'll post more pictures.

Thanks Brad. I ended with grit 12k But I didn't clean up in between 1.2k and 12k. So I basically gave each grit in between a very good scrub and then some metal polish to finish up with.

That wharnie of yours looks like it'd be a good user.

Great work on that polish Alex. She will be a fine little knife. What grit are you going to end with? I need to get this Wharnie project done.

This one is now ready for heat treat. I still have it's sibling to make out of the same steel billet before I send it off though. That'll be a completely different knife though.

This one though will get some "Dragonbreath Micarta" scales. (like this)
