Putting handles on a Katsura Damascus kitchen knife set

I needed some decent kitchen knives as cooking is my favorite pass time. So I purchased a set of chef knives from Amazon and got to it.

Katsura AUS10 damascus blanks; 8" chef, 6.5" chinese cleaver, 7" Santoku and a 7" Nakiri. They all came without the Logo, matching Mosaic pins and gift boxes. Cost about $291/set.

As some of you may know, recently I have caught the 110 bug. I've been buying older used 110's on eBay out of curiosity.

Well, I love these knives. They're easy to re-furbish, re-task and the variations of handles are countless.

This project will consist of a complete tear down, cleaning, New Damascus blade and scales. Plus, re-tasking the old blade into a usable fixed blade. This blog will be updated as the project progresses.

2/12/13 The Spanish Lace Damascus blade…

Brad's amateurish knife reviews - Corneta Wotan

Okay, the title says it all. I am not a english major, so don't ridicule my composition skills.

This blog will be my outlet for honest opinions and facts of knives that I found intriguing enough to buy for myself. With that being said, let us begin.

6/4/2013  Coming soon another rank amateur review.  Subject: Corneta Wotan

What aspects should I highlight? Any particular tests you want performed? I plan to beat the heck out of it anyway.

Let me know soon. I would…
