One Hallowed Day
The brave of our nation
Defend liberty and freedom
From every generation
Some gave their last full measure
The cost of our freedom Is a hard price to pay
A widowed spouse ... They will never grow old together
Children, who grow up without a mother or father
Fathers and mothers Who shed tears over old glory neatly folded
From the casket of a son or daughter
Surely this sacrifice was a result of love
Love of those who served by their side
Love of God, family and freedom
And American pride
So we set aside one hallowed day
We remember and simply say ‘Thank you’
Because we owe those who gave their last full measure
A debt we can never repay
