The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
There is a lot of different exotic wooden knife scales out there from all over the world. There's burls, stripes, checks, well almost too many types to list. It seems almost every country has some type of wood that makes excellent knife handles. The question at hand is what is your favorite? If you have more than one, list them all. Please.

All that Curly type wood is great. I like most all of it.
Jack that is some fine looking knife, you have there.
I want an amboyna burl handled knife, but I also love curly Birch on my Scandinavian knives.
I love the Case curly maple slimline trapper.
I like zircote and walnut myself, go figure :)
I think I will go with Ebony - some of my old Cattaraugus knives have ebony handles and I really like them.
Cocobolo is nice. Not very good for the maker however.
i like cocobolo, got some and like it.but aged oak is hard to beat.
Those are beautiful guys, that's why I wanted to post this Blog. Wood is so pretty. Stag has a reputation as being top of the line, when it comes to knife handles but just look at the ones Ya'll posted. Move over a little bit...Stag...LOL
