Something to think about .. when you do go to a tool & die maker for a stamp .. someone will have to generate the CAD file .. who better than yourself !!!
Jeff .. thanks for the comments on the Queen stamping .. as you know .. I do like the different cutlery stamps ..
Say .. have you drafted a CAD file for a CJS stamp yet .. you know .. you could mask the end of a hardened punch and etch your own .. whatever you mask ends up raised .. takes a deep etch though
Thanks for the welcome to IR group. This is a great group, I am looking forward to the Hammerin in August and my wife was eager to go to. I'll bring a custom sword made in my neck of the woods to share. I also did not know about the chat feature, thanks for the tip
Jeff .. you're listed here .. under knifemakers .. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Knifeology101/links
JJ & I have been wking on a way to sort & catalog cutlery info .. take a look & let us know what you think .. contributions welcome !!!
I see your reasonong now.
Guess I'm just a basic, right handed, simple styling type of fellow.
Do like the style of the bowie though, gool luck with the auction.
aaaah kyley mentioned you on one of his vids! i'll have to get ahold of one of your knives, i like your work.
yeah the stag hiker is fat, but he designed it for a different hold, its extremely comfortable in a sideways grip. the #1 belt knife was a surprise, when i ordered kyley said i'd be getting the #3, so that was cool. i also have the #1 of his special edition christmas hiker.
I see you're from Lake Co. My great-grandfather, grandfather, and father were born there in Lowell. My great-great-grandfather and his brother were pioneer settlers there in 1836. Abram R. and Horatio N. Nichols.
