Thanks for the tip Michelle! Using my cellphone now enables me to get much better pictures of tang stamps, blade etches, and small details on knives. I used to have a great 35MM camera but the mother board burned out and the parts were no longer made for repairs. I now use a Fuji digital. It doesn't have the ability to do closeup work like this. I really miss my old 35MM but your tip has enabled me to be able to go back and add greater detail to pics for the database program for cataloging my collection. Thanks again for your kind assistance!!

You have some great pictures of tang stamps. What kind of camera do you use and what lens? I'd like to get nice close ups like yours. I did have a good 35 MM years ago with close up lens but the mother board died and the didn't make them anymore.
