There out there in the $35 range .. yeah, I think I do need to take another look @ these .. 440C

.. putting diff scales & a recessed button would be pretty straight forward ..

Here's a pick of the SCALB ... wanna bet Y for yellow & B for black scales ??

I'd put a recessed button & micarta linen scales on it .. am just a little hesitant .. no experience w/ the product since Taylor ..

.. 440C .. if tempered properly .. beats Case's (420HC) Surgical Steel ..

Yeah .. if ya know anybody out there w/ one .. ?? quality & are they happy w/ it ??

Thanks Terry ......... Dale

Whoops Terry .. my mistake .. It's the SCALY I was looking @ ..

I hadn't shopped it in awhile .. went back to a saved link to grab the info below .. found it's now declared as 440C ..

Looking for a knife for my daughter .. will be taking a closer look @ this ..

SCHRADE SCALY

This classic looking knife has a mirror polished 440C stainless steel blade on a gray anodized aluminum handle with yellow Delrin scales. A push of the button lock releases the coil spring.
SCAL (California legal length) has a 1.75" blade and is 4.75" overall.

Blade Length: 1.75"
Overall Length: 4.75"
Closed Length: 3"
Weight: 2.13 oz.

I think a set of micarta linen scales wouldn't hurt it any ..
