Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Hello Everyone!

Thought you all may want to see a really nice example of a German-made pocket knife tool kit, one of my collecting specialties.  (See the below "quick" photos.)  Can you identify all the tools in this kit?  Then, can you guess when it was made?

Enjoy!

I like it.

Cannot read a stamping ..so.. no clue on manufacturer.

Nice kit !!

Sorry about that D

Its a Hugo Berns, aka "HUBEO" tool kit.  I wrote an extensive article on these kits in Knife World about a year and a half ago.  This was one of the major manufacturers of these types of kits, no longer in business.  The stag handles were a real prize for me!

Thanks!

The kit is actually marked "Christmas 1957" in Hungarian on the inside of the case, which is really cool.

Love getting that extra bit of information!

This Hugo Berns was actually founded in 1903 if I recall correctly...

I just looked at that link you provided, and ironically its pretty much the same kit back in '08, but missing a few tools.  The discussion dates are a bit off, but that's ok.  Nice to see these kits still floating around!
