John, i know there not knives but you love to research so... these are baffling me. I think the light wood club is american indian because of the bark, looks like birch or cherry. the other 2 im not sure. Any ideas? Thanks for any help.

Yes we certainly did want to see it.  I am inclined to agree with John, I really think a curator should see these.  If nothing else Michael to be sure you have them insured for their true value

John, as usual you have steered me in the right direction.  I searched Shillelagh and found enough to say thats what ive got. cool. My dad had it labeled as a fiji island throwing club but i knew that was wrong. This measures 19" long and the head has saw marks and flats, very simular to one I found online. I just might keep this one.

Michael-I think I may have figured out the first one- I believe it is an American Indian talking stick as used by many Native Americans. In a Tribal Council meeting, only the holder of the talking stick was allowed to speak as it was passed from person to person. The type of wood and the snakeskin wrap all held significance.-For example, birch symbolized Truth, cherry for Expression. The snakeskin was used to transfer poisons from the group, be they an illness of heart, mind, spirit or body.check here for a better explanation. http://www.angelfire.com/ca/Indian/TalkingStick.html

I have seen examples online that very closely resemble yours.
