Alan,

Yes of course we will help in any way we can.  Although a good many people think that looking at a knife should tell you all you need to know that is truly not the case.  For best results a pic of the knife and then all the tang info is necessary.  The tang is the area where the blade meets the handles.  all the info on that area front and back is usually the key to the knowledge

Alan- Just as Jan said, we will help any way we can- You can post a discussion directly here-

 A few tips-

1- Show pics of the knife with all the blades open

2- Show a pic of the shield if any, ( the metal inset in the middle of the handle, if there is one) it may have a name on it or shape that helps

3- Good pics of the tang stamp markings or any and all writing anywhere on the blades or elsewhere (These are most important) They can not only identify the maker, but often the age and rarity). If your camera does not allow this, a verbatim wording is the next best thing-- Pictures are better, because nuances in lettering, etc.can often make a huge difference.

4-A accurate length of the knife closed and a length of the longest blade
