Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I stumbled  on a Puma White Hunter at a yard sale a few weeks ago. The knife appears as though someone attempted to polish the blade and left it a real mess. Is there anything that can be done to bring this knife back to a good looking status? I have attached a couple of photos.

I suppose it all depends on what your intentions are for this knife. If it is going to be a user, then it is going to get character marks...no real need to clean it up. If for a collector's piece, then maybe a bunch of elbow grease and a metal polish perhaps?

I would start with WD109 9 micron-1200 grit 3M Wet/Dry Micron Polishing Paper (buy wherever you like this was just the first place I looked)  then maybe go down to the 600 and then some simi chrome.  But Manx is right, if it is a user...it came with character

Great find by the way, I love the white hunter!

Thanks for the info. For a $20.00 investment I guess I will spend some time trying to get it back on shape.

I would Glenn
