Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Hello all. I'm new to the group. Wondering if anyone might have input on an old marlin spike.

The blade is marked Excelsior, but on the middle of the blade. Down low, there appears to be a name--James--and "MAF" or "MAR".

There is a number on the backside, possibly 156. It appears to be ivory, or could possibly be horn. I know the Excelsior company used ivory frequently, but I've yet to see an old Excelsior marked in this fashion. Yet the ornate copper loop suggests it may be older than I originally thought.

Any information would be helpful. Thanks.

Dave
