I want to see them eat soup with chop sticks.

I don't know, Toby, those that you found look like they could be used as effective close combat weapons too.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone.  J.J. those chopsticks are pretty cool. If the Japanese would have had them in WWII that war might have dragged on a lot longer!

And it would have folding chopsticks.  Below is a picture of WWII Japanese issued eating utensils.

Also, if it was a WWII knife by Japan, it certainly would not be in English...lol

Lol.  I've got 2 around here somewhere.

I know what you meant, Toby.  Can't remember where I got my second one from, but it definitely wasn't represented as a WWII knife.  Still your video stirred fond memories from nearly 50 years ago.

J.J. they are absolutely pretty cool knives.  My main point is you should be able to get them for $8-$10 on eBay.  I've seen people trying to sell them for as much as $40 and there is no reason to pay that type of price.  I've also seen people trying to pass them off a Knife used by Japanese Soldiers in WWII.  The fact the Japanese soldiers used chop sticks in WWII doesn't seem to cross the seller's mind!  And they also just aren't that rate. you can go to eBay any day of the week and type in :Japan Hobo Knife" I bet you will get a listing of 5-10 knives.

Still if you collect hobos or camp knives it seems to me your collection needs at least one of these!
