Peter Force--No the width is the same---all that is changed is the main blade which is a Muskrat Blade

and that is why they put the O before the model number on the Tang (0I254 SS) to show a blade change and the bone one is 06254 SS

Nice knife, I had read about Case handle materials, and knew they used Mammoth Ivory, but this is the first one I have seen.

can i ask,are the frames of the RAT TRAPPERS wider then the frame of the normal trapper? i happen to have what i awlays thought was a CASE GREENBONE FAKE trapper. i based this on the factthat the body was wider but it it is profesinlaly done. i gotta find the dimensions of the RAT TRAPPER. if you have them post them for me tat would be great!   AWESOME KNIFE!!! you also saqy he 1960s ..wre any iof the RAT trappers made with the CASE XX stamp?
