Thank you guys! My main reason for collecting these is to bring those days back, so to speak. My wife collects so many antiques and we both know we won't take these to the grave and that we are only caretakers of them for now. That being said, someone on the near future, after we're gone, needs to know that these and other knives were tools that were carried and enjoyed, 100 years ago.

Talk about vintage knives! Those are great, Perry.

Great pictures! Two fine throwbacks to a kinder, gentler time. And, I'm sure if one were to do the comparison, .05¢ back then would equal $20 now -- Or there abouts?

Thank you Jan, I couldn't agree more! I remember after getting it the other day, I was talking to my wife saying the very same thing. These were probably carried around and played on dirt piles and the like. Just as interesting to me is that I would've liked to see these on display in the hardware or country store they were sold in, back in the day.

Perry,

You sure have found some amazing knives!  The condition is great, but I like most that you can read the Boys Favorite clearly.  Two fine examples of "if the knife could only talk"  what great stories they must each have

These knives would've sold new back in the 19teens for around 5 cents. BOYS FAVORITE and I-XL, 1908-1922
