Dont know anything about this except very nice blade.If you zoom up on the mark it is a violin

At one time the blade was etched but hard to see in photo.

Any info would help

Bruce, your swagger stick was made by G. Ibberson of Sheffield, England - They used the violin symbol as a tang stamp up to 1932 and then used a double sharp ## symbol after that-They were in business from 1700-1988. With the England on the tang stamp, it was probably made after 1891 but is still probably pre WWI-The faded  blade etch  probably said Swaine Adeny, 185 Picadilly, London WI who retailed these It is in remarkable shape for that vintage--
