Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

The Community knives are on their way, lets have a little fun

The 2014 Community knives were sent priority, on the way to their new homes today :)  I have not posted a picture of any of them (haha).  I am excited that each of the handle materials have small variances in it, so no two will be exactly alike.  Donnie reviewed them all for me so I have not seen all of them either, BUT I WANT TO!!  So I am going to offer up a Queen Maroon handled Country Cousin knife for a photo contest prize.  This will run a little while because 4 knives are making their way to other parts of the world.

So here are the guidelines

Post a picture of your 2014 IKC Community knife with something unique to your area and enter it here.  Lets see how creative we can be with our own city, state or country

I will choose 3 impartial judges.  I think we run this for about a month, I want those going out of the country to show us theirs also.  Lets see if we can get every knife to show back up on here.

Ready, set, SHOOT YOUR PICTURES!

That guitar looks like it might be a Martin (C.F. Martin) - oldest guitar maker in the U.S. - also made in Pennsylvania (Nazareth, near Allentown).  Not trying to get folks to move here, just sayin.

Even just a visit to PA is fun

Yeah, and that wood rooster carver is here, too!

I thought I would show you what we grow here in Ohio.

Nothing like some old, Ohio barn siding to bring out the best in the iKC Community knife!

These pics are taken by old machinery on display by the old Kamm's brewery in Mishawaka.  It closed in 1951, but the factory still stands.  It was one of the first brewery's to open after prohibition.  You will see the factory in the background.  The machines were used to brew the beer.

iKC Knife and Kamm's beer, there is a song in there somewhere.  Looks like you and your knife had a nice outing today!  I think he has gone to a good home!  Hey wait, his brother has been playing guitar, maybe we can find a song

no fair you lot, teasing me with all these photo's of this year's knife.

will make it all the more sweeter once I finally get mine.

I know it's 1st in best dressed but if possible being in the ar$e end of the globe, can I put my hand up to get a knife held each year for us please Jan?

Jaosn I dont have a way to hold but I do have an email list of the folks that say they want one every year so I send an email out as soon as I post that the decision is made.  Yes I will put you on that list.  I will also make the commitment that the contest will always go through a respectable time to let those out of the country receive theirs.

And Stanley...This one is for you
