Thanks Ken and Robert.  I took it with my muzzleloader.  Yesterday was opening day of muzzleloader season.

We hit a record low of 21 here.  Our previous record low was 24.

We had our 41st anniversary back in August.

Deer hunting has been slow at our club, this past week. A couple of hunters did manage a 4 pt. and a 7 pt. We also bagged 4 wild hogs. I was one of the hunters that bagged a wild hog. They give real good hunting action and some are good eating. We are heading back hunting after Thanksgiving. It is the biggest deer hunting weekend of the season. More people go deer hunting on that weekend than any other.

Congrats on the hog Robert.  Since we have a three and a half month long deer season, I don't think any one weekend really stands out from all the others.

Its really windy today, but I might try a hunt in the blind for a few hours.

Thanks Charles, the wild hog I killed was a young one and are very good eating. Cajuns usually cook the pig hole. Roasted on some sort of pit. I cleaned the pig and then injected it with seasoning and then stuffed it with garlic. I plan on cooking it whole in this manner. All of my hunting buddies are excited about it. Most hunters around here kill larger wild pigs and aren't as good cooked in this manner. If you have never eating a young hog, you just don't know what you are missing.

Thanks Sue, that was a great story. Adams Co is a great place to Buck hunt. I have shot a few there myself, not that big however. That Buck was huge.

I'm back from my last hunting trip and the hunting wasn't as good as it should be, right now. The hunters did mange 2 wild hogs and one deer, oh an a miss. The most interesting part was the way the deer was found, after the shot. The hunter that shot the deer and a few other young hunters could not find the deer after the shot. It ran off into some thick woods. They quit looking and came back to camp and got a few of us older hunters to try track the deer. I decided to bring along my buddy, a Dashound dog. Well we were having a lot of trouble finding the deer but my little dog got out there and found it and started baying it. Everyone was so excited that he found it, someone even wanted to buy him as a deer tracking dog. LOL You just don't sell your good buddy. I plan on using him some more to try find some of these wounded deer.
