Case Classic 85 Physician Handle?
Anyone know the exotic material in this Case Class 85 pattern? The C.O.A has "Exotic" , I know, it is not red coral, tortoise shell? 1996 Classic model, W.R. Case & Sons tang stamps, COA states "EXOTIC" under handle, it is a prototype. thanks"

Rick, what are the first two digits on the tang. With Case, that is the handle material key

My long haul book is packed and that is probably where the answer is, not so much in the book but in the insert. According to the knife db standard issue for that year is stag or burnt stag or red jigged rogers bone for the bomb shield. John McCain has the insert we may have to wait for him. The other option s to just ask Buzz. He can be contacted on EBay
