Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Hi everyone!

My name is Andrew (call me Drew). I'm in the marketing department at OKC. I'd really like to make sure to give everyone a direct line to OKC to answer any questions, pass along any suggestions, and just generally educate people about our company and products. We are wrapping up celebrating our 125th year, which we did by adding a major addition to our factory, relaunching ontarioknife.com, releasing new and limited edition items, and laying the groundwork for things you'll hear about soon. (probably sooner than others by being here, in fact).

I'm really looking forward to being part of the community here. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments about OKC. If I don't know the answer, I'll find the person who does.

Thanks,

Drew

Sounds great, Andrew! Looking forward to learning about OKC and seeing what kind of nifty things that will be coming out. Glad to have you and Ontario Knives here with us.

Welcome aboard, Drew.  Jan and I were talking about OKC just recently.  Glad to have you here at iKC.

Welcome!  I do like a nice RAT.

Thanks everyone! I've got a couple Rat folders around the house, and now the new Utilitac knife stays with me at all times. Any thoughts on what you'd like to know about? I'm going to keep you posted about new Ontario Knives and plans for shows. I'll also be glad to answer any questions.

I would really love to see a picture "discussion" started for folks(and you) to show off all those great Ontario Knives they have!  They say a picture is worth a thousand words so maybe we can stir up some Ontario Picture Words!

Hi Drew - is this thread still being monitored by you are anyone at OKC? It's been nigh on seven years now since the last posting on this thread...I hope so!

I'm looking to build the historical understanding of one of my OKC's...the Spec Plus lock back folder. I would like to know some of the basics of it -

What is the OKC model name for this knife?

When was it introduced and What were the years of production? (assuming it's discontinued as I cannot find anything on it)

Can this knife be sent back to OKC and have it re-powder coated?

What was the suggested retail price at the time?

What other variations (if any) did this knife come in (i.e. drop point, gut hook, w/o serration, etc.)

I have also written to OKC with the same questions...however it may be awhile before I hear anything. The OKC web page states the facility is closed due to COVID-19 protocols.

Thank you for any assistance or info -
