Wow John, I saw the Queen but would never have a guessed a Mustang Trapper!

MTech Jumbo Trapper

Its an MTech Jumbo trapper, also digitally signed by Shane Sloan and the scales on that knife are just a version of cracked ice style resin!

Just joined the group, I have several trappers so I guess this is the place to be!

. Believe it or not, having just read the first post and saw the first photos, I actually walked away from a Case Yellow Comp Trapper today at the local swap meet. I only had so much cash on me, so I had a choice between the pictured knife, a 1967-72 Buck USA 311 Trapper, and the Case Trapper laying on the table, (the Case had CV blades in "average" condition with lots of staining). I have other Case knives, namely Russlocks, but not a Case Trapper, and so was sorely tempted to snag both of them. However, I think there are more Case CV Trappers out on the used market than the Camillus-made Buck 300 series, so I opted for what I conceive to be the scarcer Buck, (and avoided a mad dash to the nearest ATM for more money). I'm sure I'll come across a nice Case Trapper one of these days, but today I snagged this Buck 311 for what I consider to be a very reasonable $20. Both blades are tight, well centered, and both blades took an edge nicely. Handles are smooth, without any gouges, and not very worn at all actually. There are no unsightly scratches on the bolsters or the blades, so all in all a nice vintage trapper knife. I'm wearing a Steel Warrior Red Jigged Bone Trapper on my belt today, but will only picture this newly acquired 311. I'll try to get all of my trappers together for a photo shoot to post here soon, but today let's just bask in the glow of  Buck.

Syd,

I would have made the mad dash lol, I admire your restraint and your choice!!
