Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Earlier today I went hunting for  knives at  a couple of Tuscola, IL antique stores. Found these 3 and a couple more I will show later. The 2 MOP knives were $20 apiece, and the Gold plated one $15. All 3 in minty condition. The MOP's aren't real old, but the gold plated one certainly is.

1-Bear MGC MOP Executive Lockback -3 1/8" closed--5 dot--1995??

2-Remington MOP Sowbelly Stockman-3 3/4" closed-Part of the Remington MOP Collectors Series

3-Imperial gold plated watch fob knife--circa late 1920's

Not to bad for $55, I think--

Small correction-- The Imperial knife was sold to me as gold plated--- Broke out my magnifying glass and it is marked 14K gold filled !!  Which makes me very happy, because gold filled is much more valuable, as it actually has a layer of 14K gold bonded to the metal underneath-YAY !!

three great additions john, congrats.  thanks for sharing these.

Absolutely love the Remington sowbelly!  Too bad its past my birthday .........

Some beautiful pearl there but the gold filled is a find!!!!!!!  Good knifing day John!

BTW, the gold fill work was done by M.S. Co., established in 1913 and still in business-- FYI, the fact that it is 14k gold filled makes a huge difference than gold plated as sold to me-- 14K gold filled has literally 100% more gold than the same item if gold plated --- SCORE!!
