Thanks guys , the knife was a gift from my Brother who was in the navy at the time . I have no idea who made it but it was a stainless sheath knife with a hard plastic sort of handle , chequered if I remember correctly . Alas it was lost some time in the distant past , the photo was taken in 1963 when I was 10 . In this country giving a 10 year old a fixed blade knife would be unthinkable , probably be considered a form of child abuse !!  There is no way that Knives Ship Free could send out free knives to youngsters in this country as has been done in the States , though I would love to see what would happen if Derrick tried .  The next knife that I was given after that was a Gurkha Kukri knife !!!
