What is your favorite Tang stamp in your collection?

Easy enough question, or is it? Please provide a pic of your favorite tang stamp, whether it be pristine or weathered a and small explanation why.

I will provide a picture of mine tomorrow...just as soon as I figure out which one it is. It is a toss up between the Shapleigh Hdwe Diamond Edge stamp, EC Simmons Keen Kutter or the Hammer Brand.

But don't wait for me, if you have it in mind already go ahead and post away.

Brad, I'm glad you asked that. I love tang stamps and my top favorites are fixed blades. I'll look through them and pick. I'll have to do a 1st. 2nd. and 3rd. , I love them so,.......lol

For me .. it represents the quintessential American brand.

Followed by one who was ..arguably.. considered their strongest competitor.

I didn't even pull the knife rolls down from my closet last night. So I didn't decide which ones were my favorite. I will pulls those & I will also pull my Favorite 5 for Ken's discussion located here http://www.iknifecollector.com/forum/topics/show-us-your-5-favorite...

These are obvious to my many pictures since being a member, Shapleigh Hardware, EC Simmons Keen Kutter, Hammer Brand & of course Schrade Uncle Henry.

I have been putting together some razor tangs, just for a display.  I have 7 nice razors with some of the old Case family tangs.  I want this display to go over the top of the door in the Knife (guest) room.  The razors will go in an arch but I have set it aside because I was having some trouble locating some of those older tangs that would just really make the display. While in PA a friend brought me the most amazing tangs and the project is back in go mode.

But back to the subject of favorites.  Ya'll know I am a sentimental old fool.  My personal favorite is stamped by humble man that simply loves making knives

SWEET .. Thank you, Jan !!!

This is my favorite tang stamp because of the knife it is on.  My grandmother got this knife at the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis.

Nice Sue!  That is an oldie you dont see often

There are lots I enjoy seeing but my favorite is the Richards Sheffield Lamp Post stamp.

The Richards is a nice one Jerry.  I have one on a Richards fish knife.
