The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
If you have never been to the NYCKS, now held in Jersey City (NJ), I would highly recommend it. Set in an oasis of the craziness in proximity to the big apple, this show was sight to see. Lots of knives being sold for lots of dollars, fantastic pieces of true sculpture in steel and new friends to be made everywhere. Knife makers and enthusiasts are truly one the finest groups of people out there. This show was true evidence of that. It was great to see some "old" friends, newer acquaintances and meet some folks I have only spoken with online or read about in magazines. The work was spectacular, and the conversation truly enjoyable. I hope you enjoy a few of the below photos of some of the fine artistry to be found. (The lighting was a challenge to say the least!) Did I go home with anything? Well, I'll need to get some nice pictures of that prize to truly do it some justice. Enjoy!

My apologies in advance for any errors on my part! Thanks and hope you enjoy!
Some amazing knives are at this show and it is my understanding the makers there are all willing to have a conversation. I have to make it to this show once!

You are correct. ALL the makers are more than happy to talk and chat about their knives, their craft and just about anything else. And where else can you handle, play with and appreciate such works of art in one place, aside from the Blade Show? Great atmosphere. Definitely have it on my calendar again in March!
