Jonathan- Walter Bros. was a German Co. circa 1904-1914.Their knives were imported to the USA by Wiebusch & Hilger. Co., of New York. They were a  big hardware wholesaler and importer of cutlery from Sweden, Sheffield England, and Germany. Wiebusch & Hilger are probably best known as owners of the Challenge Cutlery Co. of Bridgeport, Conn. Unfortunately, Walter Bros. knives are rated as low as to collector value.I recently saw one similar to yours sell for $22. I would say yours is in that general area price-wise.Still, it is a great old knife and a bargain at the $1 you paid for it.!!

Thank you so much for the information about the knife and yeah I can't believe I picked it up for only a dollar awesome find thanks again
