Oh and the metal wire hoop that you can see on the strop pulls out to make an extending handle for the strop .

I am very happy with this "Manufrance" razor Dale . I think it would have not been a cheap item when new .

MANUFACTURE Francais D'ARMES et CYCLES de Saint-Etienne seem to have been a very large department store in France who sold a wide variety of household goods including of course firearms and bicycles . They started up in around 1880 and seem to have taken a turn for the worse around 1960/70s . I have found a few pages of catalogues on line but so far have no way of dating this particular razor which could have been made by any of the large razor manufacturers such as thiers-issard. 
I particularly like the cover for the strop to protect the strop box from getting paste on it , if it did then you could get coarse strop paste contaminating the finer side !
