Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

This arrived as a 'bonus' inclusion with some other knives I traded for recently and I am really taken by it. A real little 'Gem' of a knife. 3 3/8 inch celluloid scales nickle silver bolsters brass liners. The Tang stamp and construction method (Scales are attached by small spikes in the liners) date this pre WW2

Very nice bonus.

That is sweet!  Is that a crushed velvet celluloid?

I'm not sure Jan, I'm not familiar with the various styles/types/names of Celluloid patterns...  it's a deep deep very dark Chocolate brown; so much so that at first I took it to be perhaps something akin to Bakerlite. But certainly "crushed velvet" describes it well.

Since this photo was taken it has had a 'makeover' and good polish and the scales have come up a treat!

Most of my knives see some use but I will be making a special effort to carry this one regularly when I head into town.
