The online community of knife collectors, A Knife Family Forged in Steel
In the small collection of knives that I have one is a Kutmaster that looks like a Stockman 3 blade. At first glance that is what it appears to be. The knife is in very bad shape as the main blade has about half an inch broken off front and there is a what appears to be a leather punch that is broken in half.
The secondary blade has a very small nick on the front of it. With the blades closed the knife looks to be in good order, looking at it from the side. Their are no makings on it except on the main blade tang.
KutMaster and below that it says Utica N.Y. and below that it says Made in U.S.A. I tried looking this knife up on the net and Ebay and only found one that is close but different. The body seems a bit more rounded but it has the two blades and the leather punch. The blades and leather punch are the same as the Kutmaster I have.
The one I found on the bay says KutMaster on the tang and below it, it says Utica cut Co. and made in U.S.A. It also had a insert on the handle that says Breeders Gazette. The one that I have has one other difference from other stockman's that I have looked at and that is a grove around bolster on each end. No other KutMaster I have looked at has those markings on it. I took a couple of pictures of the one I have. I am very curious about this knife and would like to be able to gather more info.
