Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

Gents, I figure this  pocket knife was pretty common in the 40s.  I'd appreciate as much info as I can  get............my intent is to pass it along to my grandsons but  figure  they may enjoy it more  if  they have some info.

I think I've  added a couple of  photos to this note but not sure I did  it right.

Thanks,

Greg

PS: I don't see the photos  in the "preview" and I  don't see any confirmation that they have downloaded.  but i'll  see if  I  can  send anyway and see what  happens.

I  see that I have two replies but there is no text?    am I doing something wrong in  how I  access responses?

Greg

Greg,

The replies were just me, bringing in the photos so no one had to hit the links.  Are there any words on the tang area?

sooooooooooo, no luck identifying this one?

Greg

Greg...without any blade stamps or markings, it is next to impossible to identify that knife. The USA shield could come from or be put on anything. I would say, if it means something to you, then keep it and cherish it. It has lasted this long! You passing it along to your grand kids makes a story and increases the value tenfold! Make it worth talking about. :)

i see on  the blade the word Camillus  and what seems to be "cutleryco ny"...........does that help?

Great,

That makes the knife a Camillus !  Does it look like this one?

Image result for camillus cutlery tang stamps

exactly,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,any  idea how to age the  knife?
