David, any Case knife is collectible.  The tang stamp on a Case tells you when it was made.  You can see all the Case tang stamps at the Case College.  Here is the link.

If I count the dots in the tang stamp right on this knife there are six.  The six dots in this tang stamp mean that it was made in 1984.  If there are seven dots, it would mean 1983.

Can anyone tell me anything about this knife? It was gave to my mom when I was a kid (Early 80's) and I can't find much information about it. Its more sentimental value than anything. I know the case and knife need a good cleaning.
