Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I recently bought a Schatt & Morgan #10 Rooster Knife.  I have never seen this pattern before.  I'm very curious about the use of the two blades other than then main spear point blade.  Does anyone have any info?  Has any other company made this pattern?  Like all things Schatt & Morgan it's beautifully made.

LOL, you two are killin me!  I am working on paying off a future shipment and once that is done I will get me one of these.  In the meantime, Thank you for sharing !!

Mail call! Here is one in Marvel Wood that just came today!

That marvel wood is just outstanding

Ditto Jan's comment!

Just exactly what is Marvel wood? It looks almost like a mash-up of several different kinds of wood compressed into one beautiful composite. Is that essentially what it is? Or does it, in fact, come from the Marvelous Tree? *He said, tongue in cheek*

I have heard that marvel wood is 100 year old reclaimed wood. But where it comes from I have no idea.

Ron,

I do not know what it is and it is a trade secret for Ken I think.  I just know I love it and am searching out a S&M #3 auto in it

Thanks for your response, Jan! "Trade secret," huh? All the more mysterious...or, should I say...Marvel-ous?

Whatever it is, it sure is purdy [sic]. I think that I like it as much, if not more, than the abalone? And, I love abalone!

Up until this thread I was not familiar with this pattern. So, I thank you all for introducing me to something new, unusual, and quite exotic!

Iv noticed with the marvel wood that some are kind of bland then you have some that knock you off your feet!

My Mother always said it takes three of anything to make a collection so now I have a collection of S&M Rooster Knives. First Marvel Wood knife handle for me so maybe I need two more of those as well.

LOL!  Momma is always right !  but 5 does make a rather nice "collection"

David,

Those knives look great! Now all you need is a rooster.....or 3!

Or maybe just one really big one!

I think three was a minimum.  Two of something is not enough to qualify but once you have three it's a collection.  After that, the more the merrier.
