Mike, I assure you, spend time here, get to know people, make friends, look at all the pictures of knives and join some groups, but most of all participate if you can.  I'm glad you are part of iKC and if you need help just ask!

hello all...... I am new to knife collecting very new I just started about a month ago I was disabled in an auto accident three years ago and I use a speech program to print (you have to have somebody to blame when used don't spell some right) I would like to thank all those that welcomed me with open arms and I hope to learn a lot about the hobby and knives just from looking around I can see how much knowledge you all have. Since I am homebound I really needed something to occupy my time with, and I have always liked a good-looking knife, so I hope I don't bore you to death being a newbie. I've spent a couple of thousand dollars on a late-night show buying knives (I don't know if you're allowed to use names) and finally got fed up with customer service representatives. How I found this site I'm not really sure just from browsing but the people seemed honest, open and friendly so I hope I have time to some of you and learn more about knives thank you again for letting me become a member.

Mike,

No matter how you found us we are proud to have you.  Sharing knowledge is the key to keeping our hobby alive.  So check it out, ask all you want and tell us about what you have so far.  Mentioning names is fine and understand we dont spell so well on most days either.  Like the sign says if your looking for a knife home this is the place!!

Hey Mike!

I'm glad you joined us here- yes, we do have great members who are real people- not just some guy behind a non-discript avatar :)

Just curious what speech program do you use?

Look forward to seeing you actively help us make iKC the knife place to call home!

Hello Mike, nice to meet you.  I became interested in knives again when I was home while healing from an ilness for a few months, so I sort of understand how you're coming in to the hobby.  Fair warning, it becomes very addictive.  So what's your inclination?  Fixed or folders?  art or tactical?  education or collecting?  I know...too much to consider and too soon to commit.  If you need links let me know...I have many.

Talk soon,

--J

Hi, I joined IKC a couple of weeks back and finally got time to sit down and say thanks to all of you for the kind welcome. Please forgive my lateness I am going to blame it on work. Thanks again for allowing me to be a part of this gathering of knife enthusiasts. Greg
Happy your with us Greg! Sometimes things do get in the way of our hobby, life, storms, work, family but it sure is good to get back to iKnife Collector!

Welcome Mike,

Glad to have you here, and we all started as newbies at one time or the other.  The only

way to learn is to ask questions and pay attention to the knives you look at and buy.

Hi, Greg

Well speaking of being late, I am late in welcoming you here.  I have found

this to be a great site with all sorts of things to learn.  Hope to read an occasional

post from you in the future.
