Hal, I'm not sure the owner of the tools has passed away.  As I recall, the ad just said that they were going to have to sell the grandfather's tools, etc.  This may have only been because he was unable to use them anymore due to poor eyesight, illness, or whatever.  If I missed something, my bad!

I hate to buy deathbed tools. Can never use them with peace of mind, especially if you got them for a bargain and they're well-treated. It's always gnarling away at you somehow.

 

A great chance for someone that's looking around for the listed items though
