Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I've been asked to add this discussion to our group.

There are a number of you who are being exposed to the NKCA for the first time or are interested in renewing your membership that lapsed sometime ago.

Here's what I'm asking- if you fit either of these two categories and have decided you are joining up (or back up) please let us know by adding such in the comment section below.

We'll be doing some revamping to the NKCA's website  to add functionality and features, but right now it does allow you to join/renew with instant payment via PayPal. Otherwise, you can mail the check to them.

The various levels and membership types are outlined there too. Here's the link. I'd really like the NKCA to see our support for this organization, so note to them when you pay you are a member of iKC! Thanks!

Hope you will join up or renew! At some point, we'll take on a project or two through our local chapter here too :)

Do I still get the counterfeit book? ;)

I sent my renewal off about a month or so ago. I finally got around to ordering the 2010 NKCA knife. I was alerted about my dues by Mr. Matthews also along with a letter. I go thru the museum everytime I go to SMKW. Keep up the good work.
I joined today for the first time. I have to admit that I had passed on joining last year when I first discovered the NKCA. It sort of sounded like they were in financial trouble and $28.00 is on the high side for annual memberships of this type.

Jim,

Thanks for joining.  I think we are going to see some changes this year and the knife community shouldn't lose this symbol of our hobby.  It is still young in the fiscal year and I know Scott is going to be giving us some updates soon.

Haven't recieved Counerfeit book yet...joined 3/5/11...wondering if it is out of stock or is it because I signed up directly to their website.

May not be eligable which is okay just curious.

Hi Scott, My status is similar to Mike's . I joined March 5 for the first time, but have received no word or book from NKCA. I did receive a welcome from you immediately which was most appreciated. Thank you for all the work you do for the Knife Collecting Community. Best regards, Bill
