Wayne, Like this knife of yours sir. I have an old Western scout knife that looks like one I saw in a book that I have "Pocket Knives of the U.S. Military" by Michael Silvey. It is not mint but still in pretty good shape for a WWII knife so I am not sure if it is military surplus or later. Do you know much about these knives? You can see mine in my Western knife photo album on my page if you are interested. I really like some of the older Western knives, unfortunately so do a lot of other folks making it hard to find at a good price. I seem to have a weakness for the vintage and military scout/camp/engineer's knives. Wish that Great Eastern Cutlery would make a version themselves. Best wishes. Tom Peterson
