"Sorry for the confusion, the dagger is a Sheffield made English one. As to the push knife that is my holy grail knife. I have seen a couple here in the uk, in a couple of different styles. They are very hard to come by, and are big bucks. Your not…"
"Hi Tony, Is that a Robbins Dudley knuckle blade knife on your cover pic? I have found two really good books on WWII knives, you may have them already....Knives of the United States Military World War II by Michael W. Silvey, 249 pgs. w/ color…"
"Nice additions Tim! My personal choice would be the bottom knife although they are both awesome. I'm a fan of the bottom knife's jigging more like the old peach seed jigging found on an old Schrade and on an old Ulster stockman…"
I was just poking fun at you because in your original post you typed that the grinder was "meant to least". But like most of my attempts at humor it went unnoticed, lol. As far as the table goes, you just rationalize that with all…"
"Hey Miss Jan,
I will check out Pheers. But I'd rather have one that's meant to last, lol!
The only portaband table that I even know of is on the 4x4 Off Road site that I posted about awhile back. It was about $130+/- but also seemed pretty…"
Let us know if you find a good spindle sander. I have a Harbor Freight one that is a few years old & I think that HF downsized their motors or changed the amperage or something after that. Anyway mine is ok for handle material shaping…"
Sorry that it took so long to post these pictures. These are most of my EDC GEC's. The stag Scagel doesn't get much pocket time. I have a few old Case/other knives that I like to carry too. Was sad to find a pin crack in…"
"I answered someone's post on this topic. I wasn't sure which knife the 2012 knife was and now that I see pics of it I realize that I don't have that year's knife. I do have a 72 lockback with a spear blade in a satin finish…"
"When I carry GEC's I like to carry my #72 Tidioute in Frontier bone (I think it's Frontier). I also have a Tidioute Courthouse Whittler 620311 in a red bone and a Scagel (made by GEC) single blade trapper 48 frame in smooth bone that both…"
"Morning Folks! Just joined this group and don't mean to butt in but...I found this table that will fit several portable band saws (Milwaukee Portoband, DeWalt). Check out swagoffroad.com. I don't have any affiliation with them but maybe if…"
Thanks for posting these pics! I see these now and again - mostly the Camillus models, but they (as well as most WWII stuff) are getting more expensive and hard to come by. Hopefully will add one to my collection some day when the…"
Sorry for the confusion, the dagger is a Sheffield made English one. As to the push knife that is my holy grail knife. I have seen a couple here in the uk, in a couple of different styles. They are very hard to come by, and are big bucks. Your not getting much change out of 600- 800 dollars, if you can find one. Thanks for the info the reference books.
Hi Tom, Thanks for your friendship. Yes I did see the Shepherd Hills Auction for the Green Bone Elephant Toe. All in all I mostly try to collect hawkbill/pruner and cotton sampler knives. You have some very fine fixed blades. Outstanding Collection !! Best regards, Bill
I am so sorry you have not been well! I hope your getting better. Donnie has been working on the house up here a little and forging a little, more now that the weather is cooling off.
