A few of my wood carving knives that I use for flat plane carving figures.
Congress Pattern Pocket Knives
Left: 2-Boker, red bone is the Carver's Congress model. Steel ok walk and talk varies.
Center: 3 J.A.Henckels, all 1095 steel excellent heat treatment. top 6 blade Henckels Congress, middle 4 blade, bottom-customized by a professional knife maker/ whittler, been using since 1997.
Right: Great Eastern Cutlery (GEC) Tidioute #62 Easy Pocket Congress. Recent purchase and amazingly comfortable knife to use.

Great Eastern Cutlery is producing a very short GEC#33 Conductor 1/2 whittler run.  I hear rumors that GEC is a little short on materials and they are using NOS parts to fill in the void.

That's a terrific looking knife and would be very tempting as I am looking for a new whittling knife. The only trouble is that I have decided on a fixed blade this time.
