I can find no references to the type of carver Geppetto would have used to create the young boy Ponochio.  I did find pic of Geppetto with his knife...More interesting I found the designs on how to build your own little boy lir detector

I would hope that we would see him early this month. I think that a run of #23's and #12's are coming out too.

On the GEC page where they have whats happening.  The blades to a new pattern say 570311.  Maybe Geppetto is thinking of making an appearance soon.  Looks like a whittler blade maybe, sure hope it has a wharncliff
Good eye Jan. That blade in the picture looks like a small clip blade, and the nail nick is in the right place for this to fit into a whittler. Whatever it ends up being, I am interested.

My thought is that this is the Geppetto, either way GEC says this about it:


Here is the information for our new #57 Wharncliffe Whittler which we will start to see in inspection next week.

 Wharncliffe blade on one end and then a little clip and a coping blade on the other end, tapered spacer, 3 ½” closed length.
