Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I came into possession of three remington knives and they are stamped made in W. Germany.   All three have real stag handles and come in the older green boxes from the 80's.  The first one is a barlow, second is a trapper, and the third is a folding lockback with a leather sheath.  I thought is was odd that these were stamped made in W. Germany-can anybody shed any light if these are real remingtons or some type of european copy.

Thanks

Some good info you have given us to start with.  Pictures may also be helpful

humm....the wall came down in 1989 so no more east or west....so should be prior to that

The only note that I see in all of my Remington books and papers, is that during the 1970's, Remington granted permission for others to produce "authorized reproductions". It would be helpful if we could see some pictures of these three Remington Knives.

Gus,

Your the man!  I did not know about that and your right we would love to see some pics
