I have researched a Presto Springload which is one of the last ones with three patents 1909, 1910 and 1916. Not sure if they were successful. George and his son were residing in Germany. If this was true then their patent 1916 was the time the Germans seized his son and assets. So that leaves me with this thought: How many Springloads were produced and did the Germans take those. Did all knives have three patents on them and were they mass produced and where are they now. I will leave it at that and will tell more later
If you know anything about Georges' life during the years 1903 - 1916 pleas help this me with this mystery.
