How much will all the Rough Riders cost on KLTV Friday August 2, 2013

I announced this during the last night’s chat and was not going to repeat it anywhere else but have since changed my mind.

Here is the way it works.

Estimate what you think will be the total cost of all Rough Riders are sold in the upcoming  August 2, Knives Live TV show (assuming you buy just one each of every Rough Rider Knife).  Add  $6.99 for the flat rate shipping.  Submit this grand total to me by Midnight Wednesday  July 31, 2013.

The person closest without going over wins.

For instance you assume they’ll sell a Heavy Hunter for  $16.99, camper stockman for $12.99 and maybe the new $12.99, and a Silver Select for $14.99

Add them all up:  16.99+12.99-12.99+14.99 =  57.96  (+ 6.99 for shipping)  Grand total  $64.95 You would submit a guess of $64.95.

Conditions to win:

You must be present in the Knives Live chat at the end of the show.

Your guess must be to me by Midnight Wednesday, July 31, 2013.

Person closest without going over wins. This is critical, almost every knife sale price ends in 99 cents.  Don’t round to the nearest dollar you could wind up over.  This also means that if 5 knives are sold you will be down 6 cents because of the $6.99 shipping. Remember those pennies when making your submission.  They can be the difference of being over by 2 cents or winning the contest.

Winner must be within one dollar ($1.00) to win.  This is to prevent people from making the $1.00 Price is Right bid and assuming everyone else guessed too high.

Submission can be made here, or via message to me or to my email address tobias.gibson@gmail.com

I will try to post all submission on Thursday just to keep everything on the up and up.

In the event of a tie, I’ll flip a coin or roll dice.

Anyone not associated with the shows production can enter to win.

If there is no winner, the contest will roll over to the next Friday show.

The knife must be in the Rough Rider Line.  This includes Heavy Hunters, Silver Select, the Brotherhood Series, and numerous other Rough Rider knives.  Don’t worry I know ‘em all and they are easy to spot.  The catalog numbers begin “RR”

This is being cross-posted here and in the Rough Rider group.  Remember the winner must tune into the show and also the Chat.  The show is available online.  If you can’t reach the show online due to technical difficulties you can still join the chat.  If you miss the chat your submission is null and void.

Winner will receive a Rough Rider from my collection (Yes it might show shelf-wear but it has not been sharpened It will be mint or near mint).  It will come in the original box.   Approximate value of the prize (not including shipping) Between $10 and $25.  ( I haven’t figured out which knife I’m sending, yet)

Jan can now throw questions my way for things I forgot to mention!

My guess is several people will be tallying.  My tally will be official.

Who is gonna keep track of the total amount of $ RR. ?

Funny you should ask, Robert.

The entries so far.  Let me know if I have your entry wrong or if you have submitted but it isn't here.

Bill Fletcher $165.56
Carl Bradshaw $240.81
Charles Sample $69.94
Jack Pappy Lewis $187.76
Jan Carter $943.12
John C. Vitale $67.95
Michelle "Fingers" DellaPelle  $456.00
Paul Ring $85.93
Robert Burris $99.00
Steve Hanner $34.96
Steve Scheuerman (Manx)

$137.87

This not it is not a Clarification of the rules but a bonafide CHANGE.

Anyone here ever see the movie The Patriot?  At one point Mel Gibson tells his boys "Aim Small, Miss Small"  That is you don't aim at the Red Cost in front of you, you aim at the 3rd button down from his neck.  The philosophy is if you miss the button you'll hit near the button and still hit the Red Coat but if you just aim at the Red Coat and miss, then you've really missed. Thus I was prompting everyone to try and get within one dollar of the total. But apparently some people don't think they can be that accurate.

So that brings us to the change.

Person closest and within ten dollars ($10.00) without going over will win.

In addition, if the person "aimed small" and was within $1.00 of the actual winning amount, without going over, they will win an additional Rough Rider Knife.

Only one person will win!  In the event that more than one person entered the same dollar amount and that amount was the winning entry; a winner will be chosen through a fight to death. - uh I mean  a flip of a coin or roll of the dice.

Well heck, Tobias went and made his own list!! But...but...I make the lists!!

MOMMM!!! Can he do that?? *pout*

Nice addendum, Tobias. I think that will work out nicely! Great job, and again...thanks for the chance!

I'm gonna guess 128.98
I'll guess 147.97

You can tell Miss Jan works at a bank. $943.12, whatttt....lol

I can't win (obviously) but I'm going to submit my guess after the game is over.  As always, I'm sure I'll be off but I still want to take a shot.

Hey Tobias, post a guess, like everyone else and if you win, I'll send you a Rough Rider knife, how about that?

I thank you for the  offer Robert, but I think the contest would lack integrity of the person who was running it could also win it, especially seeing how I've already contacted Josh and Co. about the contest.

303.13   that will be my guess.

$108.94 . . . that's the magic number
