Welcome Home...THANK YOU FOR BEING A PART OF OUR COMMUNITY

I really need to know I'm not just crazy here.

But, I guess I feel like a lady with a closet full of shoes trying to decide which to wear (we men don't tend to have this "opportunity" cause most guys only have a few pair to choose from).
So, here's the deal- You wake up in the morning. Grab your standard stuff- money clip, iPhone, wallet, etc.....but what about that day's carry? How in the world do you decide which one to take for that day?

Help me out here, cause lately, like this morning- I changed my carry 3 x before I walked out the door. I went from my Strider RC to my Mantis Jyro and then changed again to my GE Stag toenail :) Like the difference between a hardcore working truck to a hyperdrive sports car and then to a classic collector car....but am I messed up..... Tell me I'm not crazy. There has to be some way to decide instead of my mood LOL and I really don't want to carry more than one either......

I don't have to choose.  My EDC is always a Case Mini Blackhorn and a Leatherman Micra.  They handle all my everyday chores just fine.

I do have a backup EDC for the Blackhorn.  It is a Case Caliber.  It is very similar to the Blackhorn, but I like the feel of the Blackhorn better.  I bought the Caliber after I lost the Blackhorn.  I carried the Caliber for two weeks.  But one day as I was walking back to my truck after deer hunting, I spotted my Blackhorn laying in the grass.  I immediately put the Caliber up as a standby and started carrying the Blackhorn again.

Thanks Charles, now I know what a Case Blackhorn and a Caliber look like. Nice knives, I see why you like to carry them. Thanks again.

One of the reasons I like to carry them is my tendency to lose knives.  Actually that is my second Blackhorn.  I lost the first one and never did find it.  It was almost a miracle that I found the second one after losing it.  That's why I don't like to EDC an expensive knife.  I got both of them at Lowes.  The Blackhorn was about $12 and the Caliber was about $14.

Another reason is because they are light and small, don't add weight to or take up much space in my pocket.  But they handle my normal cutting chores just fine.

I have other knives available if I need them.  I keep my Frost Bowie knife and a machete in my truck tool box.  I also have a Colonial Barlow in my truck console.  And around the house I have access to any knife in my collection if need be.  Of course I won't use any of my really collectible knives.

Charles, Just looked those 2 knives up in the SMKW calalog, they are there. I am going to stop at Lowes first and see if I can get them, if not I will order them.

Ken, our Lowes doesn't have a regular knife department.  They were on a display stand at the front of the store near the tools.  Not a whole bunch but they did have those and a few others.

Today I chose 2 lockbacks for my carry out to the farm. A RR and my new Case XX mini-Blackhorn (pics later)

Today I chose to go fishing with me my Case Blackhorn and a Rough Rider. Both worked well.

This one everyday now. I love it! (sorry little 33. LOL!)

Choices Choices - how am I to decide? Well it just happens sometimes - no rhyme or reason. For Church this morning I chose my Case Blackhorn and tonight I choose a Rough Rider.

I think everyone has one of those Blackhorns but me! LOL!

Craig, you better get one, you can get it at Lowes for about $11. You'll like it.

Craig, definitely get one!  They are cheap, they are a Case, and they make a great EDC if you don't have to do heavy cutting.
